Make the Bookshelf function shareable across institutions
The Bookshelf function is a brilliant function of Ebook Central. I work in a support role for Jisc, and we use Ebook Central to host our collection of e-books for FE. I created several Bookshelves to divide our collection into subject and qualification areas, but was disappointed to learn that I would not be able to share these with different organisations, I could only share them within Jisc. This is disappointing because it would be a fantastic support mechanism for Jisc's librarian members in the UK. Our members often don't have the time to create these Bookshelves themselves, and therefore this great tool…

Improve visibility for the user
To improve visibility for the user, are you able to do anything such as add a message to explain why they can’t access a title e.g. in use by someone else and advise to try later rather than “request still pending”.

Ebook viewing options
Offer a two page view for ebooks. This would be particularly useful for graphic novels and material with graphics and tables. Adding a thumbnail option would also be a good idea

Extended access: Separate automatic purchase options (price limit/copy limit) for 1 user/3 user
Provide separate automatic purchase options (price limit/copy limit) for 1 user / 3 user titles under extended access

Mediate Request library preferences
For mediated requests and the mediate request form, we also have our settings set as "No" for mediated requests, and yet the system overrides the library's expressed preferences for mediated requests by providing users a mediate request form when the user limit has been exceeded for a title. The library's expressed preferences should take precedence over the system.

Allow user to save ebook to more than one bookshelf from the book info page
On the info page ("Table of Contents and more") for an ebook, users can click the button to save the ebook to the bookshelf, but it's not possible to save it to an additional bookshelf from that same page. Users can go to the bookshelf and then copy the ebook to an additional bookshelf; it would be more intuitive if this were possible on the ebook info page as well.

Batch deleting patron accounts
It would be very useful to be able to batch delete patron accounts, rather than having to do them one by one. It would save a lot of time if you could input a list of names or email addresses and delete them all in one go.

STL Price Threshold
Allow the ability to hide STLs where the STL price is above a selected amount (currently there is only the ability to hide STLs where the price is above a certain percentage).

allow for more attributes to be passed in reports
there are more elements that can be extracted from the info our users pass you to authenticate that could be added to reports, for example role (undergrad, grad, faculty, staff) or school (Medicine, Engineering, Business, etc.).

Partner with Perusall.com to make Proquest ebooks available there.
Perusall.com is an online tool for flipped classroom teaching where students can collaboratively annotate the textbook for reading assignments. ProQuest should partner with Perusall to make eBook licenses purchased by universities work in Perusall's course content.

Publisher Improvement to Advanced Search
The Publisher filter in Advanced Search is a welcome addition. However, it takes forever to load and crashes my browser. It renders advanced search useless. And I need advanced search to create reports.

Allows users to move an ebook from one bookshelf to another
Users can copy an ebook to another bookshelf and remove the ebook from a bookshelf; both of these functions are very useful. A useful addition would be the option to move an ebook from one bookshelf to another, without having to copy it and then remove it from the original bookshelf.

Add Readership Level to DDA profiling
We would like to be able to profile by readership level, so that it is easy to filter out non-academic content which we do not want to acquire.

Only add files with page number
Academic customers can only really use eBooks if there are page numbers included in the files. It would be great if you could ask publishers to think about that when delivering the data - If a title is to be incluced in an academic project, is has to be citable.

Direct links to specific subscription packages
We recently added two ebook subscriptions to the DDA and owned titles we already had on Ebook Central. Several librarians have asked for direct links to the specific collections so we can send faculty/students straight there rather than everything on Ebook Central. The closest we can get currently is by sending them to the advanced search page with instructions for searching just that collection.

Alerts for new volumes of a book series
Our library is interested in alerts for new volumes of a book series. Not like a subscription, only an alert, so we still have full budget flexibility.
Or does ebook Central already offer a service like this?

Enable users to return books using the return to library function in adobe digital editions
It would be great if users could return books when they were done with them, instead of waiting to the end of the loan period, enabling other users access them sooner.

Provide forthcoming ebook information, especially for new editions
It would be wonderful if you could provide information on when you will receive an ebook from a publisher, especially when new editions of print are available. I'm often asked this question when the title can't be located in your catalog but it is known to be available in print and the ebook is available directly with the publisher. Being able to pre-order these books would also be great. When I e-mail support with these questions, I'm often never provided with a response.

Extended Access Report
It would be really useful to be able to generate a weekly report on all titles that we have auto-upgraded, auto-purchased or that were mediated as part of the Extended Access program. Whilst we get notifications when individual titles are triggered, a weekly report would really help with monitoring.
