  1. ETD Author Writing Toolkit

    Add support for, or integration with, an author tool that would allow me to focus on creating quality content, and worry less about formatting.

    • provide base formatting templates, including customer "sanctioned" versions for my university
    • support for committed reviews of drafts

  2. "At A Glance" Summary Of ETD

    It would be helpful to have a feature that provides a bit more information than an abstract, so that I can determine if a dissertation or thesis is of interest to me without needing to read the entire publication.

    Would contain things like
    - chapter summaries
    - thumbnails of tables or figures
    - key components/details of the publication

  3. Add authenticated ORCID iD functionality to ETD Administrator

    Currently, the form field for ORCID requires manual entry of an ORCID iD. This leaves room for error and typos, and does not allow for transfer of data between ORCID and the ETD system.

    ProQuest should build in an option for institutions to either use the Public or Member ORCID API to gather authenticated ORCID iDs along with the ETD submissions, thereby ensuring that the ORCID iDs collected are accurate.

  4. Accommodate pre-2005 Submission & Acceptance Dates

    In the ProQuest proforma for thesis submission and acceptance, the date boxes only go back to 2005. I could not enter my date of 1999.

  5. Add a a saved default feature in the "Fields to include in the report" section for running reports.

    I would like to be able create a saved configuration option in the report section, so that I don’t need to select the fields I need each time I run a report

  6. Checklist Page-Check All Option

    On the checklist page, is it possible to add a "Check All" box option at the top of the page. It is time consuming and annoying to have to individually check off 25 boxes (for our particular list).

  7. Leave Feedback Icon issues on a small screen

    I am currently using a laptop with a small screen, and frequently have two or more windows visible at one time. With the reduced window width, the leave feedback icon blocks part of the view of my application.

  8. Status for inactive Admins

    I would like to remove inactive Admins (left university system, no longer in role, etc) from the available admins to assign ETDs to, but I can continue to see the history of the work that those inactive Admins performed.

  9. Provide more information on Creative Commons options to help Authors and Site Administrators determine which CCs are appropriate

    Creative Commons licensing can be very confusing for Authors. Having additional information to explain the various licenses, as well as university recommendations (if any), would be helpful.

  10. Customize embargo reasons in drop-down menu

    As an ETD administrator for my institution I would like to be able to create embargo reasons for my IR that align with the standard reasons we recognize at our institution. In the dropdown "reasons" menu, it would be useful to be able to customize this list of reasons.

  11. Automatic delivery of scheduled ETDs

    Allow Administrators to schedule delivery of etds and have them sent to ProQuest automatically on the scheduled date.

  12. Allow Administrators to see uploaded copyright forms on the Summary Page.

    It would make it easier for me to make sure that students are submitting their supplemental copyright forms, if I could see it from the summary page instead of hunting through the tabs.

  13. Allow students to communicate with the ETD Administrator within the ProQuest ETD Administrator

    Currently students need to direct questions regarding requested formatting changes outside the ProQuest ETD Administrator via an external email account. This requires the administrator to look in two different places (the PQ Administrator) and their email account to properly respond to formatting questions.

  14. Make tags visible to my whole team.

    I use the ‘tag’ feature to identify different graduation terms and those ETDs that should not be published until a later time. These tags make my work and groups of submissions easy to organize, but others in my office cannot see these same tags. You need to make the tags visible to all administrative users at one school so we can work together.
