Allow students to communicate with the ETD Administrator within the ProQuest ETD Administrator
Currently students need to direct questions regarding requested formatting changes outside the ProQuest ETD Administrator via an external email account. This requires the administrator to look in two different places (the PQ Administrator) and their email account to properly respond to formatting questions.
Thank you for the idea. Where in the workflow would you want to discuss with the administrator?

Most of my communication with students is about formatting revisions. From my standpoint the best place for this communication to take place is in the view decisions section.

This is one of my pain points as well. I communicated this exact point with Eugene Bacungan on 6 August 2019. Here's my exact suggestion for this feature:
Currently, when a thesis or dissertation is submitted, I make comments regarding required revisions. That comment is sent via an email from the system to the student. If the student replies to the message, the email goes to my personal inbox - not back to ProQuest. It would be nice if the message could also be copied to the ProQuest “View Decisions” section. This would emulate HelpDesk software where there is a unique email address that, when replied to, a log is created of the message and it would then be viewable in a threaded format with the main email being the top, and its related messages underneath. A different parent message would be created each time a new decision is made – then the children (back and forth responses) collected underneath it.

It could be at various times through the workflow, any time from the initial submission until the admin accepts it. It's not just formatting quesitons--I regularly have to write to students for other reasons too, and my email gets filled with those mails very quickly. Having the entire correspondence history attached to the record would be very convenient.
