An error occurred while saving the comment J. Christian Sweatt commentedI'm wondering why the resubmission link even expires if the submission is still active (hasn't yet been approved)?
As an alternate solution: why can't these links remain active until the submission has been accepted by the ETD admin? This would solve the issue altogether.

An error occurred while saving the comment J. Christian Sweatt commentedThe recent UI update (July 2021) to the report page made everything so much worse. Yes, it looks better, but we lost the function of being able to add multiple report fields at one time. Now, I have to select each of the dozens of fields ONE-BY-ONE instead of being able to select them all and move them over to the "include" column. Also, why do these reports reset each time?! It makes me want to scream each time I have to recreate my report from scratch.

It would be nice to be able to save the order of data columns via a "Saved Searches" feature, which would then also save the items in section 1 of that page (status, last event, assigned to, etc.).

Our PhD students often "finish" before the end of the term, so they think they're graduating in April, when, in fact, their graduation month is June (for spring). Being able to limit the degree months would help tremendously!

Christian Sweatt commentedWhile we don't have a document to upload at UCSF, we do require approval of the embargo request from the Dean's office, and this approval is located within our student information system. Once I see this approval, I can process the ETD submission. Perhaps also build in an approval workflow option that allows the embargo approver to indicate approval. Since approval workflows now exist within ETD, this should be a good use-case.

An error occurred while saving the comment J. Christian Sweatt commentedI have this same issue at UCSF. Many of our students enter their ID badge number, which means nothing to us. It would be nice to be able to add text describing what number is needed, or, ideally, include logic in this field that allows only a certain number format/character length - for example, our IDs always begin with an 02 and are 9 digits in length.
Alison - can you provide more context - I think the more detail, the better since I can't come up with why I'd want to use this in my database. I like that students can continually update their manuscript up until I review it. I always like to have the latest version.
