Discount information in LibCentral should be reflected into ebook prices of mediate request page
Currently, discount prices are in book details of LibCentral but they are not reflected into ebook prices of mediated request page so to confirm discount information before purchase, admin users have to click a title to go to its book detail page. I want to request this to save their time.

Patrons can export EBC search results
Export EBC Search Results to Excel/CSV
It would be helpful if end users could export their Ebook Central search results (and accompanying metadata) to Excel/CSV files. This functionality is already available on the ProQuest academic database platform and should also be available on Ebook Central.2 votesThank you all for your feedback on this enhancement request! The Library should be able to stop patrons from Request title if the Library has purchased max amount of 1user only.
Ebook Central Admin: Why did I get a mediated request for this title?
- Extended access enabled and set to upgrade automatically, but no upgraded access model is available, or the upgrade price exceeds the upgrade price limit.
Suggestion for change:
The Library should be able to stop patrons from Request title if the Library has purchased max amount of 1user only. Example: A library owns 3 copies of a 1-user copy of an ebook and the ebook is currently in use. The Library have purchased total 3user access so the Library have enough licenses according to their policies. The patron…

To send notification when a book is about to be returned online
It would be good if users got a notification when a book they were borrowing online was about to be returned. We have users that have lost notes because they made notes on Adobe DE and then when the book was returned and then re-loaned the notes were not there.

Compatibility required with ELOGIM SSO for Ebook Central
By acquiring ELOGIM as a proxy solution, we identified there is no current compatibility of Ebook Central with ELOGIM SSO. Previously we used EZproxy SSO, now we want to use ELOGIM SSO to offer back the bookshelves to our community of users as we used to do with EZproxy SSO.

Simply E app
It would be great if the platform was compatible with the Simply E app, as an alternative to Digital Editions.

Better Search Experience - Some Miscellaneous Ideas for Finding Content More Effectively
A set of ideas from a librarian who would love to see enhancements to the search interface and the lists that are provided within the system.
Who is curating the list?
How often is it updated?
How is it updated/description of what’s on the list
More specific lists (i.e. Social Justice is great, but it’s way too broad for practical reasons and should be narrower by specific SJ topic)Better filtering:
Popularity within LibCentral
Critical Acclaim
Awards
Community Selections/Picks
Highlights/Spotlights around specific events or contexts
Promotions/Sale Items
Review ratings (like Amazon)
New releases/future releases
Rather than “year of publication,” which…3 votes -
Drop-down menu Fund Codes
The values entered in the Fund Code Controls currently only appear in the cart as a dropdown menu.
The drop-down menu should also be displayed in the Patron Request so that you can see exactly which Fund Codes have already been created and should therefore be used4 votes -

Remove requirement for patrons to log in when downloading a DRM free title.
I would like to see the removal of th requirement for users to login on title that are DRM-free. I see this as removing an extra step and relieving some of the frustrations that some of our users experience.

Link editions/ Pearson versions
We have had turnaways from a 2nd edition of a book where we own the 3rd edition and have an issue now with additional copies of Pearson books having different URLs due to the removal of print/copy by Pearson. It would be very helpful if you could provide a link between editions /versions along the lines of Amazon's 'There is a newer edition' link.

Permalinks need to have the option to always include proxy info
Our faculty work sometimes from campus and sometimes from home and send permalinks to students who may be on or off campus. The permalinks will only consistently work if they are proxied all the time. Our faculty or students are not going to think to check the URL every time...mainly because every other vendor we use just allows us to turn on proxied version 100% of the time regardless of where they are when they are accessing the resource so they don't have to think about it.

Encourage/incentivize use of MathML to ensure better access for persons who are blind
More actively encourage or incentivize publishers to ensure that mathematical content in their e-books are accessible to persons who are blind or visually impaired. This can be done by including equations formatted as MathML (rather than just text or images of equations) and by including detailed descriptions of graphs as alt-text. Since eBook Central is situated between users and publishrs, it is in a strong position to help advocate for this type of improved accessibility.

Allow Title Reports to merge across multiple consortial holdings
We have books we've DDAd and own directly. In addition we have two different consortia that we have owned/subscribed books through. I want to be able to generate a single report (and choose the columns myself) that merges ALL of our institutional "holdings" - owned, subscribed, DDA, ATO. Right now I have to download all of them separately and then merge them myself, and since the subscribed is huge (and I can't pick the columns so I get them all), it is unwieldy to work with in Excel.

DDA - Date Removed
It would be nice to have a "date removed" field for DDA titles. As titles are removed between file loads, patrons occasionally come across a record that has been removed from ProQuest but not from the catalog yet because the monthly file has not been created yet. If a title had a note of when it was removed from DDA, that would help clear up these problems. It would be similar to the "date added" field, but would be "date removed from DDA".

Add a 'Recent additions' carousel along with the 'Recently viewed' one
We regularly purchase additional titles to our package and we would like to promote those to our patrons. We are a specialised library and it would be good to be able to highlight those titles that have been chosed specifically for our patrons. Other e-book platforms have such carousels in place.

Improve pricing transparency
Some publishers such as Elsevier or Springer multiply the base cost of the ebook. On LibCentral the price shown is not what we end up getting charged for in these cases. Could you calculate the actual cost of the ebook at the point of ordering? That way we can assess whether we want to purchase the ebook at that price or not. For example, we recently purchased one ebook for $57.51 but when the email confirmation came it was for $115.02 as Elsevier charges twice in that case.
