  2. Create the capability to restore withdrawn submissions

    Restore withdrawn submissions. We could avoid duplicates by creating an "associate" or "pin" function wherein submissions could be attached.

  3. upload multiple files at once

    When we register decisions, we often attach multiple documents to our emails for students (such as formatting notes and the various paperwork they need to complete) so that they receive this all at once as part of their ETD processing.

    Currently, you have to browse/select/attach each individual file. A multifile upload option so that we could select multiple files to upload at the same time would be greatly appreciated.

  4. Info in notification emails to etd admin administrators

    ETD school admin has requested that, in the email notifying them of specific publications, we include the name of the ETD site to which it was submitted. In the case of schools with multiple sites (ie, sites for different colleges/departments), this would be helpful to organize submissions.

  5. Frequently Used Phrases

    Many times, I find myself typing out the same formatting guidelines many, many times when sending revision information to students. It would be great if we could save commonly used text (including hyperlinks/images) that we could quickly insert into the email template.

    Even better would be to have the ability to save this text as rich text, so that we had a fully pre-formatted statement saved that we can then use without having to reformat it once it is inserted into the template.

  6. Create a Student Checklist

    In addition to the checklist that admins use, it would be nice for the admin to be able to create a student checklist that the student must check off before a thesis/dissertation can be submitted for review.

    For example, our students must have included a signed title page in the manuscript, or they must have included a signed/dated institutional library release, etc. This “actionable” checklist can be a part of submission requirements that must be checked off by the student before the student is allowed to submit the manuscript for review. This will cut down on a lot of “decision”…

  7. Allow Checklist to be Viewed by Students

    Currently, there is a “View Checklist”, which is only visible by an admin. I have to complete this checklist before I can “Accept” a dissertation for publishing. It would be nice to have this checklist also student-facing. The student shouldn’t be able to make edits, but should be visible for viewing purposes, so they can see what information I need and what has been collected (or completed) so far. If institutions do not want the students to see their internal checklist, they should have the option (under “Manage Site”) to simply turn it off.

  8. Allow note/s to be added to reports

    There's information that would be easy to get during the evaluation/approval process, that you need later on, so you need to look it up again. Being able to export the notes field, or better yet, adding one or more notes fields specifically for reporting purposes, would be so helpful.

    Just share your metadata with Worldcat Discovery and EBSCO Discovery Service. That's all. It would be a help to those of us who subscribe to PQDT and a non-ProQuest Discovery Service. We pay a great deal to have access to the collection. Why not make the records findable? Why not make dissertations findable and purchasable for libraries that don't have a PQDT subscription. That could be another stream of income.

  10. Regarding PUBLICATION email notifications - allow MULTIPLE ADMINS to receive these emails.

    Allow MULTIPLE ADMINS to receive PUBLICATION notification emails. The primary ETD admin may not be the person who catalogs the dissertations once they are published. It would be great if the person who does the cataloging can be notified whenever dissertations have been published. Thanks!

  12. Allow supplemental files to be marked private

    As an administrator, I would like the option to include supplemental files
    with ETD submissions that are not made available to the public. Our use
    case is having students submit their signature page as a separate file with
    the ETD document, and then having the signature page delivered to us along
    with the ETD after the ETD has been published with ProQuest.

  13. Customize FTP report email

    I had put in a ticket and it was suggested I post here.

    I'd like to be able to customize the information in the FTP report email. There are staff members who receive the email and do not have access to the admin portal.

    Currently the email includes: ID, Submission ID, File name, Title, Author, Delivered date, and status
    I'd also like to see: Institutional Repository Publishing Options, Creative Commons License, and email

  14. Allow IR delivery to be restricted by publishing model

    Posted on behalf of California State University Los Angeles.

    As an ETD Administrator, I would like to restrict ETD IR delivery to only Open Access items. While we work to encourage open access as a default for ETDs, it makes more sense for our discovery systems to be limited in growth to open access items.

  16. Include report with all Faculty Committee Members

  17. Student author permission to view committee review page.

    The number one question from students is who has approved their thesis. I have to look it up and tell them. If they could view it, that would be a tremendous help. We use this function for the final authorization of the document now that we have gone paperless. I would also like a separate spot like thesis adviser for department administrator in the ETD section.

  19. Capability to prevent a student from withdrawing their submission when in Ready to Deliver Status

    Add a capability to prevent a student to from withdrawing their application when it is in the Ready For Delivery status. Allow only Administrators the capability to withdraw an application when in the Ready For Delivery Status. From our perspective when an application is at the Ready for Delivery Status the student is considered a current conferral candidate and should not be withdrawing their application at this status.
