Just share your metadata with Worldcat Discovery and EBSCO Discovery Service. That's all. It would be a help to those of us who subscribe to PQDT and a non-ProQuest Discovery Service. We pay a great deal to have access to the collection. Why not make the records findable? Why not make dissertations findable and purchasable for libraries that don't have a PQDT subscription. That could be another stream of income.

Regarding PUBLICATION email notifications - allow MULTIPLE ADMINS to receive these emails.
Allow MULTIPLE ADMINS to receive PUBLICATION notification emails. The primary ETD admin may not be the person who catalogs the dissertations once they are published. It would be great if the person who does the cataloging can be notified whenever dissertations have been published. Thanks!

Allow customization of print order cover
When ordering a printed copy of my ETD, I would like to customize the text that shows on the printed cover. This would allow me to change my name or modify the title of my work.

Send Notification to Authors Prior to Embargo Lift Date
Authors often wish to extend their embargo/delayed release while they work on publications, but forget to contact ProQuest or their Grad School before the expiration date. As an administrator, it would help the students if they could receive automatic notification shortly before the embargo lifts

Option to turn off individual email notifications when titles delivered to ProQuest
On behalf of Harvard University: we would like an option to turn off the individual emails that are sent to the primary administrator when each dissertation submission is successfully delivered to PQ, or otherwise just make this a digest instead of individual emails for each author.

Allow students to change name for delivery of copy order
Posted on behalf of Indiana University: When a student orders a bound copy, the system demands that their name be left in the top field. If the bound copy comes to my office, it works out because they simply put our address in the remaining field and we are still able to receive the bound copy without issues but this is creating a far larger problem. Allow supplemental files to be marked private
As an administrator, I would like the option to include supplemental files
with ETD submissions that are not made available to the public. Our use
case is having students submit their signature page as a separate file with
the ETD document, and then having the signature page delivered to us along
with the ETD after the ETD has been published with ProQuest.1 vote -
Customize FTP report email
I had put in a ticket and it was suggested I post here.
I'd like to be able to customize the information in the FTP report email. There are staff members who receive the email and do not have access to the admin portal.
Currently the email includes: ID, Submission ID, File name, Title, Author, Delivered date, and status

Allow Changes to ETD Orders Before Submissions Are Delivered
Once an order has been submitted through the ETD site, payment additions cannot be made.
For example: If a student would like to add additional print copies to an order to get the multiple product discount, or change book sizes from 6x9 to 8.5x11 (or visa-versa), add Open Access or Copyright, the ETD site is not setup to allow these order changes.
The only changes that can currently be made to ETD orders is the removal of items already listed on the order to process credit card refunds.

Additional View of Copyright Permissions
As an admin user I would like the ability to see the copyright permission docs that a student uploads in the ETD details page. Currently in order to see if copyright permission docs have been uploaded, an admin needs to go to Revise PDF. To determine if copyright permissions have even been uploaded you need to do this step for every student. Once the PDF is deliver “Revise PDF” is disabled and then you are no longer able to see any of the copyright permissions a student uploaded

Add "please don't copy/paste from PDF" note near Abstract text box
If you copy/paste the abstract from a PDF, it includes all the line breaks. If the abstract is on more than one page, it copies the page number(s) too.
My library uses ExLibris Esploro, and it's set up that when we deliver something to Proquest, it imports automatically to Esploro. So, if the abstract is full of line breaks, we have to fix them by hand at some point. If we can have the student take care of that instead by telling them not to copy/paste from the PDF, would be nice.

Allow One-Time Data Entry of Multiple ETD Department Names
Allow more than one department to be added/edited/removed at a time.
This can be accomplished by adding functionality like the Data Validation Drop-Down List feature in Excel. Department names can be entered on one line, each separated by a comma, and then saved to create a final drop-down list.
Or add functionality for uploading and downloading of CSV text files allowing data to be saved in an ETD department list table structured format. The csv file can be created automatically when a new ETD site build request form is submitted for processing.

Allow IR delivery to be restricted by publishing model

As an ETD Administrator, I would like to restrict ETD IR delivery to only Open Access items. While we work to encourage open access as a default for ETDs, it makes more sense for our discovery systems to be limited in growth to open access items.
