"Load Period" to be hidden for messages of book purchase
Could the "Loan Period" shown in the automatic message template be hidden for the libraries who only adopt DDA book purchase model?
The item "Loan Period" confuses the users about accessing the books.

Academic Complete package creates bespoke links to topic areas within the subscription database e.g. Diversity Equality Inclusion
That the Academic Complete package creates bespoke links to topic areas within the subscription database such as the Diversity Equality Inclusion Collection title lists. Such bespoke searchable collection links could easily be copied and inserted in to Library marketing/social media communications and promotions on Awareness days such as International Women’s Day. Also collection links set up for perpetual access University funded Customized Collections such as The Self-Care Collection. This would increase visibility of the individual collection, target key audiences, increase value for money and promotes the ProQuest product across a new wider audience resulting in greatly increased usage.

Highlight on mobile
Currently, to highlight on a mobile device such as an iPad, each word has to be tapped individually. This is very time consuming and laborious. I would like to see the ability to highlight multiple words at once as is possible on a computer, for example dragging across the screen with a finger and/or mobile pencil to highlight the desired portion.
I use digital textbooks as an affordable and convenient alternative to hard copies and having them on my iPad makes them easy to access and interact with. I believe this would benefit many students as iPads continue to increase…

When Accessibility Mode has been enabled, return the user to their previous location.
Currently users are returned to an Ebook Central search page. From there they have to search for, correctly identify and re-access the book they were reading, and navigate back to the location within the book where they were when they changed their accessibility setting. For users who navigated in via their institution's Catalogue record for the book, this can be confusing and disorienting.

Include a direct link from the menu bar to the Accessibility Settings
Currently the settings are accessible via Settings > Profile. Including a direct link would reduce steps for users with disabilities.
7 votesAs part of our ongoing commitment to a modern and intuitive platform, we have simplified the global navigation bar to include a direct link to the Profile. At present, these updates will only be visible on the Search Results page. However, as we progress with our updates, they will appear in additional locations throughout Ebook Central.

Clarify Availability messages in French - Améliorer messages de Disponibilité
The Availability message "Copy is not available for this book" is not accurately translated when using the French interface. It looks as though there are no copies available instead of "no copying allowed". I suggest the following text instead :
“Il est impossible de copier le livre intégral”
(instead of “Aucune copie n’est disponible pour ce livre”)Similarly the message " Print and chapter download are not available for this book" is not accurate in French. I suggest the following :
"Il est impossible d’imprimer ou de télécharger des chapitres individuels de ce livre"
(instead of "Il est impossible d'imprimer…1 vote -
Username Login Prompt
Include a prompt on the login page that helps a user remember that their username could actually be their email address. Too many users forget their username (especially over the summer break) and then create new accounts and are shocked when they cannot find their bookshelf. Having some kind of prompt is ideal.

Allow editing on title landing pages
Hello, we'd like to either be able to edit or suggest what appears on the landing page for e-books. Extraneous language about downloading e-books has been confusing, in particular when this is not required. Also, many students seem to be accessing through their phones, and we'd like to add language that explains how best to do that. I tried to attach a highlighted screen shot but it wouldn't let me. I am happy to send. Thank you so much for considering!

To send notification when a book is about to be returned online
It would be good if users got a notification when a book they were borrowing online was about to be returned. We have users that have lost notes because they made notes on Adobe DE and then when the book was returned and then re-loaned the notes were not there.

Better Search Experience - Some Miscellaneous Ideas for Finding Content More Effectively
A set of ideas from a librarian who would love to see enhancements to the search interface and the lists that are provided within the system.
Who is curating the list?
How often is it updated?
How is it updated/description of what’s on the list
More specific lists (i.e. Social Justice is great, but it’s way too broad for practical reasons and should be narrower by specific SJ topic)Better filtering:
Popularity within LibCentral
Critical Acclaim
Awards
Community Selections/Picks
Highlights/Spotlights around specific events or contexts
Promotions/Sale Items
Review ratings (like Amazon)
New releases/future releases

Remove requirement for patrons to log in when downloading a DRM free title.
I would like to see the removal of th requirement for users to login on title that are DRM-free. I see this as removing an extra step and relieving some of the frustrations that some of our users experience.

Link editions/ Pearson versions
We have had turnaways from a 2nd edition of a book where we own the 3rd edition and have an issue now with additional copies of Pearson books having different URLs due to the removal of print/copy by Pearson. It would be very helpful if you could provide a link between editions /versions along the lines of Amazon's 'There is a newer edition' link.

Add a 'Recent additions' carousel along with the 'Recently viewed' one
We regularly purchase additional titles to our package and we would like to promote those to our patrons. We are a specialised library and it would be good to be able to highlight those titles that have been chosed specifically for our patrons. Other e-book platforms have such carousels in place.

Update citation styles offered, and describe these more fully
The version of the Chicago style offered in Ebook Central is not the latest - could it be updated? There may be other citation styles that would benefit from updating too. Please also let readers see which version of each citation style is available - e.g. labelling it as Chicago/Turabian - Notes-Bibliography (17th edition) rather than just Chicago/Turabian - Notes-Bibliography. These two improvements would bring Ebook Central into line with other ProQuest/ExLibris products such as Art & Architecture Archive and Summon.

Patrons can change view option in the reader
Ebook viewing options
Offer a two page view for ebooks. This would be particularly useful for graphic novels and material with graphics and tables. Adding a thumbnail option would also be a good idea9 votesThank you all for your feedback on this enhancement request! We will keep this in mind for future consideration.

Ebooks: Make accessibility settings suitable for disabilities.
For accessibility with text to speech, I'd like the option to centralise the reading area on screen by hiding the book details like the non-accessible version allows, and add easy to find ways to increase size too.
This is for the benefit of less mobile readers following along, as looking to the right will cause either neck or eye strain as desk setups are usually optimised for safe working with as little turning of the head as possible, especially when engaging with lengthy documents.4 votes
