During set up, we were advised to use the administrative files as a location where students could upload unredacted, full versions of their ETD (in the event that their work contained copyright material for which they did not have permission to publish online). However, we stumbled upon an issue where administrative files are not able to be deposited into our institutional repository (Esploro platform). Since our IR is the authoritative record for these works, not ETD Admin we would like to see all content that a student submits through the ETDAdministrator to be populated in our local IR records.

Due to the issues between the ETDAdmin-Esploro integration, we have to do significant metadata cleanup/enhancement in our local records, so we are not individually reviewing the ETDAdmin records as it's not feasible to be reviewing each record twice.

As of right now, there's no way to run a report to check for those records that include administrative files. We have file naming conventions implemented that is really our only alert at this point to let us know that we should check the ETDAdmin record. Hopefully they can amend this.
