Show upcoming title removals to users within EBC
Display a note on records letting people know when eBook titles will be removed from the collection, similar to how Netflix and other streaming services let people know that a movie is leaving the service. This will help prevent “surprise” removal from the collection by helping end-users identify when titles are leaving, and give institutions an opportunity to find alternate access to the title or a substitute.

Any notations that can be added to item details when items of any type are to be removed or temporarily disabled would be extremely helpful to the patrons.

This would be a very user-friendly enhancement, and it sounds like it would not be too difficult to implement.

The issue of title removal caused a big problem for one of the programs at the campus where I work this very semester. Please help us keep our faculty informed of these changes.

This is a terrific idea! Adding an announcement similar to Netflix or other streaming services will be familiar and expected functionality by members of the current generation of college students.

With faculty embedding links to resources within their course learning management systems, it is imperative that they know when a title will be removed and no longer accessible for their purposes. For them or a student to be surprised when it is no longer available hurts not only the credibility of the library but also that of the vendor. Communication is critical on the upcoming removal of resources. Thank you!

This kind of notification is a best practice and eBook Central should definitely adopt it. Letting users know when a title will be removed is of critical importance to faculty as they tailor their courses with important content, and for students who require steady and predictable resources that they can rely on for all their projects.
If eBook Central doesn't adopt the notification, it will negatively impact the usefulness of the database and users will go elsewhere for predictable and reliable content. -

Yes, Highly recommend. This feature will help not only the faculty in planning the semester assignments, but also the library with their workflow for adding alternative titles, making edits in the knowledgebase, easily troubleshoot for questions related to titles that suddenly disappear, before the next semester starts.

Please by all means add this enhancement. This is vital knowledge for faculty and students who use this material for teaching and research. The snafu with Wiley has made it clear that this is absolutely essential. Thank you!

This would be very helpful for informing instructors while they are building their course for the semester. It will give them a heads up that the title is going away and that they may need to find a substitute.
